Balinese Arts

Beside of beautiful island of god, Bali has many arts form. It has been reform from the beggining of Majapahit era in Bali. The arts has become apart of culture, traditional life and ceremonial part. There are many foreign artists come to bali that influence the balinese arts.

The form of arts is varied from classical to modern art. It is including the art area of dance, music, painting, sculpture or carving. The object of the arts mostly related to ceremonial life of balinese culture. In the age of balinese kingdom, the arts was produce for the palace and ceremony part.

When balinese arts forming into modern art, the style itself is still remain. The object still being used for ceremonial and traditional life. The arts is used for daily purpose product. There are entertaining, decoration, motif, and style.

Every years the bali goverment held Pesta Kesenian Bali (PKB) which a Bali Arts Festival to preserve the balinese culture. Its follow by all district of Bali and also outside participant from another province and countries. This Bali Festival also intend to promote balinese tourism.

You will see most art form of balinese arts in Bali Arts Festival. It held about a months in some area of denpasar.
